The 3Cs U18 Coyotes hosted the Brooks Jr. Bandits in a tight win at the Castor Beaverdome on Nov. 5.
After the first period, the score was tied at one; through a number of successive penalties for the hometown Coyotes, and being able to outshoot their opponents, the Bandits were able to climb to a 3-1 lead by the end of the second period.
The third period was a different story for the hometown Coyotes. The defence came alive in the third, combined with Brooks succeeding in drawing multiple concurrent penalties which resulted in several five-on-three opportunities, the Coyotes chipped away at the deficit and eventually drew even, then went up a goal.
While the Brooks Jr. Bandits showed renewed vigour in the final minutes of play, the 3Cs defense held firm resulting in a 4-3 win for the youth team.
