Real Canadian Wrestling took place once again at the Erskine Curling Rink on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

After six months, Alberta-based professional wrestling promotion, Real Canadian Wrestling (RCW), was back in Erskine for a “Hang ‘Em High” pro wrestling event. The match lasted for seven different rounds with 14 wrestlers.

Among the people who watched was John, an avid wrestling fan, who brought along his 9-year-old child. “My dad took me to a lot of wrestling matches when I was a kid, so it’s my turn to bring mine.”

The event tickets ranged from $20 to $30, the cheapest available through retail outlets and Eventbrite. RCW events welcome all ages to their shows.

“I think our next schedule would be in Stettler and Red Deer. Follow us on our social media pages to stay updated,” Real Canadian Wrestling’s main promoter Kent Mackenzie said.

The night ended with the wrestlers assuring people that there are actually no “good” and “bad” guys among them, adding that they only do what they do for their audience.

The event featured the following elements; the first match where KB6 defeated Machete, then Radz(Jackson/King) defeated Moses Luke/Mustachio, Kat Von Heez defeated Ava Lawless, Steve Wilde defeated Dean Richtor by DQ, Harlon Abbott defeated Weston King, Wilde/toxic juggernaut’s defeated Richtor/Radz, and the final matched between Cody Mac and CAMikaze where the latter retained the RCW Alberta title.

The promoters were appreciative of Erskine for the support on their second full-house show in town.
