The Castor Library is looking for a summer employee to assist with our Summer Reading Club and everyday library tasks.

It is a 4 hour per week position, at $15/ hour.

The position is for 7 weeks, starting July 4th and going until August 19th.

Applications can be submitted to castorlibrary@prl.ab.ca or in person at the library by June 15th.

Interviews of selected candidates will be held on June 20th.

For more information or questions, please contact the library by emailing or calling 403.882.3999.

We are continuing our Community Needs Assessment until June 15th.

If you haven’t filled out our survey yet, you can find it online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Castorlibrary or come to the library to get a physical copy. Your participation in the survey is greatly appreciated, assisting in the direction of the library for the next five years.

As of June 1, the Castor Library will no longer be charging for a library membership!

Come by the library to get your free membership to access thousands of books through our physical collection as well as our online materials.

The library will be hosting its first Summer Reading Club this year.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we will have activities here at the library.

There will also be a reading passport and prizes to encourage children to keep reading through the summer.

Check our Instagram and Facebook pages for more announcements and information in the next month.

We still have some seeds available in our Seed Library.

If you have any areas you need to fill in your garden, stop by the library and get the fillers you need.

For any information or questions you may have for the library, you can always contact us at 403-882-3999 or email castorlibrary@prl.ab.ca.
