The Halkirk Community Hall was bustling on the morning of Dec. 4.
Around 70 parents, plus associated children, were on hand for the breakfast with Santa hosted by the Halkirk Elks.
Starting around 9 a.m, people in attendance were treated to volunteer-prepared pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage and fruit, along with jucie and coffee to drink.
Not long after 10 a.m. the sound of jingle bells filled the hall, and the jolly old elf himself appeared.
Santa first wandered through the community hall before taking his seat in a big chair near a fireplace installed on the stage.
Once he was settled, Santa invited the numeroues children in attendance to come up for a picture and give him their wishlists. After they were done, one of Santa’s helpers gave each child a book and a candy-bag.
