Our summer book sale has started at the library. Come see what we have and get something for your own home library. All books and DVD’s are for sale by donation.

The Summer Reading Club started on July 4 and is running until August 19.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3-4 pm we will have activities here at the library.

We also have reading passports and prizes to encourage children to come register at the library for a summer of fun and reading.

Check out our Facebook or Instagram (@castor.municipal.library) for more information or contact the library with any questions.

As of June 1, the library has started offering free library cards.

There is so much to explore with a library card, from our physical collection to our online resources.

Check out our website at www.castorlibrary.prl.ab.ca to learn more about what a card can offer.

The Castor & District Museum has generously shared a project they have been working on with the library.

We now have a computer here at the library, donated by FC Hunt Agencies, that is designated just for historical records of previous Castor Advances.

Starting all the way back in 1909, you can explore pages of Castor’s history and stories.

Thanks to the Castor & District Museum for putting this project together for everyone to enjoy.

You can also search these historical records on a computer at the museum.

You can always reach out to us at the library by calling 403-882-3999 or emailing castorlibrary@prl.ab.ca.
