October is Canadian Library Month. The Parkland Regional Library System will be putting on their Golden Ticket Contest again this year.

Every day we are open, we will be hiding the golden ticket somewhere in the library. If you find it, your name will be put into the draw to win 1 of 8 prizes. The only thing you need to play is a library membership!

Programming at the Library:

On Wed, Oct. 5 the library will be hosting a Breathwork and Guided Meditation workshop.

This 40 minute class will be a great intro if you’ve ever wanted to start meditation but don’t know where to start. It will be taught by Kathleen Charpentier of Village Yoga.

On Mon, Oct. 17come join us for a Teen Journaling Workshop with Tamina Miller. This workshop will cover the basics of journaling and the benefits of clearing our minds of thoughts and problems. It will also be touching on the importance of dream journaling and how to create a map for where we want our lives to go. For ages 15-17.

On Fri, Oct. 28 join the library for some spooky crafts! More information TBA. Contact the library to register for all programs.

We will be closed on Mon, Oct. 10 for Thanksgiving. We hope that everyone has a great long weekend!

You can always reach out to us at the library by calling 403-882-3999 or emailing Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates and to see what is happening here at the library.
