We have started a seed library at the library this year.

It works just like a library with books. It gives people the opportunity to get seeds for free to start and grow plants for their garden.

You “borrow” seeds, and if you are inclined, you can save seeds from the plants you grow to return to the library for next years seed library.

Returning seeds is not a requirement, but it does allow for the seed library to remain stocked and grows the number of seeds available to the community. Come check it out and see if any seeds inspire you for your garden!

We are continuously adding new books and DVDs to our collection here at the library.

If you think of an item you think would be a great addition to our collection, you can make a suggestion via our website or come into the library and let us know.

Did you know the library is more than just books?

We offer different online services so you can access eBooks and eAudiobooks. One of the most popular apps for eBooks is the cloudLibrary. All you need is a library membership to sign in and start reading!

We will be closed on April 15th for Good Friday and April 18th for Easter Monday. We will resume regular hours on April 20th.

For any information or questions you may have for the library, you can always contact us at 403.882.3999 or email castorlibrary@prl.ab.ca.
