43rd Annual Skate-A-Thon

The 43rd Annual Skate-A-Thon will take place on December 11, 2017 at the Castor Arena from 4:30-6 p.m. Skate-A-Thon is the major fundraiser for both Castor Minor Hockey and the Castor Skating Club. Prizes will be awarded to the skaters who raise the most money and skate the most laps. If you would like to support the Skate-A-Thon you can connect with any of the IP, Novice or Atom players or contact Natasha Bozek at the Castor Recreation Office at 403-882-3225.

New Year’s Eve with the Dueling Pianos

New Year’s Eve tickets are going fast! In addition to the Dueling Pianos and a fabulous dinner by Michelle Breum, this night will include a fun casino where you can use your winnings to enter a cash prize draw! Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Rec Office or by contacting Leanne Lougheed (780-237-8582), Tina Hronek (780-221-4645) or Tammy Spady (403-741-6579).

5th Annual Festival of Lights

The 5th Annual Festival of Lights is being held on December 10th.

The Castor Elks would like to invite everyone for free skating and hotdogs at the Castor Arena from 12-2 p.m.

Sleigh rides will run from the arena to the lodge where there will be children’s crafts, a visit with Santa, sing-along with Kelly Gabert and her students and a cookie walk by the Ladies Auxiliary from 1-3 p.m. We also encourage everyone to decorate a tree in Pals Park so we can light up the town and get into the Christmas spirit; once you have decided on a tree you would like to decorate please contact either Billie at 403-882-3215 or Mandy at 403-882-2115.

Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Game Raffle

Did you miss your opportunity to get into the Alumni game? If so, you still have a chance to play or coach. We are raffling off a coach and player spot with both the Leafs and Castor Alumni teams.
