This hospital bed for the palliative care room has a special air mattress on it for maximum patient comfort, which was purchased with donated funds.

Castor’s Elks club has made a donation to Castor’s Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital for purchases towards the palliative care room.

The room has been moved within the hospital, and a room adjoining it has been dedicated as a family lounge for the family of those patients in palliative care.

Both rooms, located at the end of the east hallway in the acute care wing of the hospital, have had a seperate door installed as well giving patients and their families an extra level of privacy.

The donation, just over $1,000, will go towards further upgrades and equipment of the suite.

Currently, an RCA television which was previously donated is waiting on installation in the new room. Already in place in the rooms are a high end hospital bend with a special air mattress for the patient and a pair of lounge chairs for family use occupy the family room suite.
