Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital Women’s Auxiliary Castor has many fundraising events that the community supports so graciously, such as the Strawberry Tea and Bake Sale, Christmas Cash raffle, Christmas Cookie Walk and the casino in Red Deer.
Here is what we do with that money that is raised from these events: items for the hospital, long-term care, nursing unit and palliative care room. Items include a dermlite unit, portable oxygen unit, Imagining chair for X-Ray department, portable suction units, physio equipment for long-term care, sheepskin boots and bed wrap, slings LTC, games/puzzles, recreation outings, Nebulizers, Popovich entertainment, handi-van rent for patient outings, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, TV trays, table and chair set for palliative care, lift chair for dayroom, wall unit for TV and long-term care Xmas gifts.
We are a very active group of ladies who donate our time freely and we want to say a huge thank you to our community for supporting us so generously. Without you we would not be able to purchase all these items for Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital doctors, staff and patient care and comfort!
