Earlier this month seven Clearview Public Schools staff prepared a brunch for the parents and children. Clearview donated the purchase of the food for the meal through its wellness fund, which they created in 2016-17.

Barb Gano organized the volunteering opportunity for the Clearview group.

“Getting together as a staff to do activities helps build and strengthen relationships among our central office team,” said Gano.

“Preparing a meal at Ronald McDonald House was such an awesome thing to do. We left with such a great feeling as the families are so appreciative.”

Clearview Public Schools created a wellness fund to help support staff health and wellness initiatives at schools and worksites. Each year schools and sites apply for funding to enhance, celebrate or share information for health and wellness for staff.

One of central office staff’s team building activities was to help families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer by volunteering to cook a meal.

The Red Deer Ronald McDonald House provides a place for Central Alberta families to stay close while their child is being treated at the nearby Red Deer Regional Hospital.
