The Coronation RCMP wants to hear from you.

Sgt. John Pike, the commanding officer of the Coronation RCMP detachment, is looking for input from local community members from within the detachment area on any comments or concerns about policing in the region.

Specifically focusing on the geographic regions of Castor, Halkirk, Coronation, and the County of Paintearth as a whole, all residents are welcome to contact Sgt. Pike either via email or regular mail for a two-week period between Monday, Nov. 29, and Friday, Dec. 10.

To contact him via regular mail, send your letter to: Coronation RCMP, 4909 Royal St., Coronation, AB, T0C 1C0.

To contact via email, contact him at: KCoronationDet@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Typically, the detachment would host an in-person town-hall-type meeting in Castor, Coronation, and Halkirk, but due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic the decision was made to use this format instead.

Once the submission date closes, Pike will review everything received and respond to the top 10 issues and concerns, having his responses published to the different communities’ social media and web pages.
