Coronation RCMP investigate hit and run with pedestrian

Castor, AB - Coronation RCMP received a complaint of a hit and run that occurred on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The involved motorist was stunting with their vehicle at the time of the incident.

The vehicle was travelling east on 52 Avenue in the town of Castor when it dangerously proceeded through the intersection of 51 Street. The vehicle sped away from the intersection, lost control and struck a pedestrian and his snow blower. The driver did not stop and proceeded eastbound towards Gus Wetter School. Fortunately, the pedestrian did not sustain serious injuries.

The suspect vehicle was a newer model, blue, 4-door pickup truck. The driver is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35 years old with dark hair and a moustache.
