Five in hunt for Battle River-Crowfoot riding

There will be a new MP for the constituency this time

A slate of five have officially been vying for the recently vacated parliamentary position in Battle River-Crowfoot.

Elections Canada released the list of confirmed candidates following the 2 p.m. deadline on Oct. 2.

First time political candidate Damein Kurek will be representing the Conservative Party of Canada while Dianne Clarke is hoping to carry the seat for the present ruling Liberal Party of Canada.

The rest of include New Democratic Party candidate Natasha Fryzuk, Geordie Nelson for the Green Party of Canada and David Michaud representing the upstart People’s Party of Canada.

The vote takes place Oct. 21.
