Officers from the Hanna RCMP detachment are seeking the public’s assistance after responding to several grass fires shortly after 6:30 p.m. on June 21.
Detachment officers believe the fires were intentionally set and similar to fires which occurred west of Hanna near the Craigmyle on June 13.
Anyone witnessing vehicles or with dash-cam footage of parked along the side of Highway 9 between Hanna and Youngstown on June 21 is asked to contact the detachment at 403-854-3393.
The detachment notes that the suspect involved in this situation is still at large and individuals are asked to be alert for suspicious activity; if witnessing suspicious or criminal activity dial 911 providing a description of the suspect vehicle and a licence plate.
