MLA Nate Horner officially opens Stettler office

An open house, including a barbecue, was held Sept. 10th

Nate Horner, MLA for Drumheller-Stettler, opened his Stettler office officially on Sept. 10th. The office is located at 4905 – 44th Ave.

“It’s great, and I’m glad to see everyone who has come out,” noted Horner at the event, which included a barbeque and an opportunity for local residents to chat. “I think this location should serve us well.

“We are going to start with this office being open probably Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We chose those days because County council and Town council have their meetings over those days, plus the auction market has sales then. We thought with it being a busy time, it would be a good time to be in the area,” he said.

A Drumheller office is being set up for Horner as well, a first-time MLA who defeated incumbent Rick Strankman this past April.

“We had a lightning seven-week session right after the election,” he said. “It’s going well,” he said. “The Premier is very focused on trying to strike off every campaign promise and commitment.”
