The Paintearth Economic Partnership Society (PEPS) recognizes and appreciates that the bulk of business in the Region are small businesses.

A quick glance at businesses in the region soon shows that our small businesses are offering a wide variety of goods and services. Whether you are looking for home repair, medications, farm supplies, sporting goods, gift ware or equipment repair and the list goes on ……you will likely find it available from one or more of the many entrepreneurs operating a small business in each of our communities.

Upon closer review you will also see that bulk of businesses in the PEPS Region are considered small business. But what does this mean and how important is to you as the customer and the overall wellbeing of the Region as a whole? “In a nut shell” a lot! As a customer you are able to deal first hand with the person that owns the business and is truly interested in responding to your needs in the best way possible. You may not realize that these same folks are also residents of the community and “vested” in the overall wellbeing of the place we call home. Many of these small business have created jobs that are so critical to our economic wellbeing, have invested in facilities and equipment making them important contributors to our tax base and continue to see opportunity for growth that big business so often overlook.

These same small business owners are often seen leading, supporting and participating in many of the social, cultural and sports initiatives so important to our residents and visitors. It is well known that by their nature entrepreneurs tend to be leaders and ready to assume the responsibility to make something happen – a trait so much needed in every aspect of our region.

There is much more that could be said about the importance of Small Business Community in the PEPS Region – yet our best message to our small businesses is we: salute you and very much value your contributions to our communities and the region as a whole.
