After being derailed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stettler Regional Board of Trade was able to host their 40th annual Trade Show.

The show was held April 8, 9, and 10 at the Stettler Recreation Centre and featured over 100 exhibitors and entertainers.

While most exhibitors were from the Stettler area, some came from as far away as High Prairie, Alta.

“Simply being able to once again host a show is a big win for the Stettler Board of Trade,” said project manager Donna Morris.

“After two years, and many changed and cancelled plans, we were able to bring back a local event that brought people out to see what Stettler and area has to offer.”

In addition to exhibitors in the Blue and Red arenas, the 2022 edition of the Trade Show also featured an artisinal market in the Hub upstairs beside the library.

A variety of entertainment was also provided at the Trade Show, with the Red Deer-based Hot Diggity Dogs showing off their agility and obedience skills over the weekend, Will Weeb performed his tribute to Elvis on the Friday night, and Rosco the Clown performed on the Saturday, along with a variety of other entertainment.

“This year’s show saw a lower number of exhibitors, however we saw 3,100 people join us over the weekend which is the largest attendance number on record,” said Morris.

Plans are already underway for next year’s edition of the Trade Show, which will be held April 14, 15 and 16, 2023.

Exhibitor bookings for the 2023 edition of the Trade Show will open July 1, 2022.
