John Sebastian Knorr was born September 19, 1934 on the family farm at Major, Saskatchewan.
He passed away February 22, 2019 at Castor, Alberta at the age of 84.
He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Luseland, Saskatchewan. He moved to his farm North of Castor in the spring of 1965 and married his wife Carol on June 13, 1966. Together they raised their three children; Kelly, Rhonda, and Sherry. He retired in Castor the last two years of his life. He was a quiet man who cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, his friends and his farm.
John is survived by his loving wife Carol of Castor; his children: Kelly (Rhonda) of Rocky Mountain House, Rhonda (Blake) Boizard of Castor and Sherry (Ron) Weeks of Fleet; grandchildren: Colton (Jessica), Sawyer, Jessica, Carson, Trent, Chance and Kayla; sister Eileen Dyki of Castor; brother Valentine (Ozzie) of Hinton, chosen brother Melfort (Linda) Weinmeyer of Weyburn; sister-in-law Angie Knorr of Calgary; brother-in-law Mike Shannon of Calgary; other family and many dear friends. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Mary Knorr, brother Eugene, sisters Adeline (Lionel) Bagshaw, Victoria Shannon and brother-in-law Bill Dyki.
