Schaffner - William James "Jim" passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 83 years.
Predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Almas, son in law Laird Almas and brother in law Mac McCaffrey; Jim is lovingly remembered by his loving wife Jeanette; children Kelley (Anita) of Red Deer, Bill (Lynea) of Castor, Doug (Roxann) of Camrose and Cindy Schaffner (Luke Deis) of Calgary; grandchildren Jost Almas, Lance Almas, Natashia Frankham, Cassie (Brandyn) Levecque and their children Rylee and Jace, Jordan (Andy) Sengsavang and their son Hannan, Tayler Schaffner (Colby Forbes) and their son Dominic, Matthew Schaffner, Ashley Schaffner (Gavin Schuurman) and their children Sierra and Jackson, Brandon Schaffner (Felicity Mannix), Mikayla Schaffner (Jordan Polischuk), Kennedy Schaffner, Liam Schaffner (Madisen Gall); siblings Eileen (Rolly) Guimont, Lucy McCaffrey and Cameron (Pat) Schaffner, other family and a host of friends.
A Prayer Vigil was held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 7:00 PM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish followed by Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish Castor, Alberta with Father Roger Niedzielski as Celebrant.
Following the mass family and friends gathered together in the Golden Circle for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
