Gus Wetter Raiders archers have good showing in Edmonton

The Gus Wetter Raiders archery team was in the provincial capital on March 18 attending the provincial tournament.

The Gus Wetter Raiders archery team was in the provincial capital on March 18 attending the provincial tournament.

In total, 16 students from Gus Wetter School attended the tournament under the leadership of coach Nancy Tamblyn.

Of the 16 students from Gus Wetter, 12 shot personal bests and five students came as top 10 finishers.

Maddox Hronek came in second for Grade 6 boys, Jehlyn Stirling came in ninth for Grade 11 girls, Aven Downey finished fourth in Grade 5 girls and fourth overall for Elementary girls, Lucy Weeks finished fifth for Grade 5 girls and sixth overall for Elementary girls and Jayda Stirling finished eighth in Grade 5 girls.

The provincial tournament ran all weekend and the results were released on the morning of March 21.
