Theresetta Catholic School students have successful showing at CWAJHAA tournament

Castor’s Theresetta Catholic School has brought home the banner for badminton a fifth time in a row.

The Central Western Alberta Jr. High Athletics Association (CWAJHAA) hosted their annual tournament in Red Deer from May 10 to 12.

Over 30 teams took part in the weekend competition.

Daphne Fuller, Kelton Doolaege, Kaleb Bozek and Rueben Fetaz all brought home gold medals in tournament play.

Harlyn Bunbury, Boston Slemp, Kolby Renschler, Drew Bagshaw and Damon Ries all picked up silver medals.

Allie Weber, Ethan Boger and Lachlan Hanton picked up bronze medals.

Overall, Theresetta placed top in the CWAJHAA 1J division under the leadership of coach Mitch Finkbiner.
