Family and friends, young and old, gathered on Saturday afternoon, July 22 to celebrate with Kathy Muncy on the occasion of her 80th birthday. They travelled from the Vancouver area, from Southern Sk. and from all around Alberta and more than 80 folks visited, were wined and dined and enjoyed a slice of birthday cake. Happy birthday Kathy!
The Rowland family try to have a family reunion every two years and this year the Bill Rowland family were the hosts. A group of 90 or so gathered at Ponderosa City, the home and Western wear store of Kevin and Mary Rowland just outside of Alder Flats at the weekend. There were many youngsters in the gathering and they enjoyed the inflatable pools and water guns and the fun that the occasion entailed. Everyone was treated to a cowboy supper of roast beef, baked potatoes and beans on Saturday night followed by a pancake breakfast the next morning. A wonderful, fun weekend.
