For the Castor Advance

New moms can get a lot of advice and some of it just plain silly.

Castor and District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) invites you to come out to listen to Sylvia Wold’s humorous presentation, “The Stages of Motherhood … or Something Like That,” on Monday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at the Lighthouse Church.

“I’m sure she’s got a little bit of wisdom tied up in a bunch of stories told with tongue-in-cheek humour,” said Mandy Fuller, director of FCSS.

Wold, who lives in Alliance, is the retired CAO of Paintearth Lodge and is now a public speaker.

The event is a fun get-together aimed at connection.

“It’s a way for FCSS to reach out to families with small children,” said Fuller.

The event is free but Fuller asks that those interested in going pre-register so they can be prepared with refreshments.

To register call 403-882-2115, or e-mail castordistrictfcss@telus.net or message FCSS through its Facebook page.

FCSS holds an parent-and-child friendly event about once a month.

In February, it held a “Parent with little ones yoga” for parents and children aged zero to six.
