Castor’s Paintearth Lodge hosted its annual fall Tea and Bake sale on Nov. 16.
Running from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the always popular event had around 80 people through the door within the first hour of opening and many people were seen departing the premises with armloads of fresh baking.
For the actual tea part of the event, attendees had the option of having coffee or tea, and a generous slice of carrot cake!
The bake sale portion of the event was in another portion of the facility and the lines remained steady throughout the afternoon.
Funds raised through the tea and bake sale go back into seniors’ programming at the facility.
“It was fantastic,” said Trudy Kilner, Paintearth Lodge Manager.
“We just can’t thank our community enough.”
In total, just under 100 people attended the event, raising around $4,000 for the seniors living in the facility.
