The Town of Castor held its annual town-wide cleanup on May 11.

Students from Gus Wetter School participated in the cleanup initiative earlier in the day cleaning up around the school during school hours while a group of volunteers came out in the evening to focus on Main Street.

Unfortunately, according to Mayor Richard Elhard, the number of volunteers out for the cleanup was the lowest it has ever been.

Those who did venture out to help cleanup were treated to a burger, chips, and pop courtesy of Mandy Fuller and Family and Community Support Services.
