The Castor chapter of IODE hosted its annual spring rummage sale in April.
Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the always popular event brought bargain hunters out in force.
According to one shopper, a lineup of people was waiting to get in before the doors officially opened at 10 a.m.
As usual, the bag sale started in the afternoon once the major rush of deal seekers had made their way through.
Sandy Shipton, a County of Paintearth councillor, reported during the May 7 council meeting that the sale raised around $5,500, which was “on pace with other years.”
The funds raised through the IODE rummage sales go towards supporting many community and non-community organizations, such as STARS, the annual Gus Wetter School awards, the Busy Beaver Daycare, and many, many other community groups that have a local impact.
