Castor Volunteer Fire Rescue has a new tool in its arsenal to fight fires. The department has had five ‘water-curtain’ nozzles donated to them by F.C. Hunt Insurance. The nozzles, which tie into existing equipment, project a 180-degree arc of water about 20 ft. The curtain is designed to be deployed between two buildings that are close together, minimizng damage to the building not on fire. Here, the fire department practises with the new equipment on Aug. 25th.
