Two drivers killed on Central Alberta highways over weekend

A 22-year-old is dead after leaving a vehicle rolled several times east of Innisfail.

On June 17 Innisfail RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Hwy 590 and Range Road 275.

A vehicle was travelling east bound on Hwy 590, left the road and rolled several times in the north ditch. The 22-year-old driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Innisfail RCMP continues to investigate the collision and the family of the deceased has been notified.

A 19-year-old male from Tees was killed in a rollover near Clive.

On June 15 Blackfalds RCMP with the assistance of Lacombe County Fire Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Hwy 12 near Clive.

An eastbound vehicle on Hwy 12 left the road and struck a light standard. The vehicle rolled several times in the south ditch. The driver of the motor vehicle was ejected from the vehicle. First-aid was attempted on scene, but the driver, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The male passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
