Veronica (Verna) Kletzel was born on March 1, 1922; she passed away peacefully at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital on October 22, 2017 at the age of 95 years.
Verna was the twelfth child of sixteen children born to Joseph and Eva Fahl. Verna married Ben Kletzel on October 19, 1943; they had one child and adopted three.
Verna and Ben farmed near Denzel, Saskatchewan where Verna enjoyed the farm life of cooking, growing a garden and raising their children. They retired to the town of Denzel.
Ben passed away in August of 1982. Verna later moved to Wilkie where she lived until moving to Castor in 1998. She resided at the Paintearth Manor #2, and then later moved to the Paintearth Lodge. Verna enjoyed life in Castor and made many friends and also enjoyed her extended family. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed by everyone.
Verna is survived by one daughter Joan Dolfi of Victoria; two grandchildren Daniel (Brandi) Dolfi and Justin Dolfi; two great grandchildren Emerald and Jesse Dolfi; two sons Ronald Kletzel of Edmonton and Robert "Mike" Kletzel of Kelowna; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends.
Verna was predeceased by her husband Ben; daughter Marianne and all of her siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Castor, Alberta on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Mirek Kostarzewski officiating, followed by interment at the Castor Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to join together at the Golden Circle Hall for fellowship and a luncheon provided by the C.W.L. Ladies.
