The East-Central Alberta-based U15 3Cs Coyotes are Hockey Alberta’s 2023 Provincial Champions.
Facing off against the St. Paul Canadians in the Gary Moe Auto Sportsplex on March 26, the tightly contested game was ultimately tipped into the winning column with a late goal by Coyote Caleb Bozek, resulting in a final score of 7-6
The championship banner is a first for the team since it has been playing as the 3Cs, which was, according to hockey-mom Natasha Bozek, incorporated in 2015.
Prior to 2015, the communities of Castor, Coronation, and Consort each put together their own teams; however, with decreasing numbers a proposal was put together for the there communities to come together and form the 3Cs hockey program.
Under the program each of the communities takes turns putting in early ice for practices early in the season, and throughout the season games and practices are spread between the three communities.
Congratulations to the U15 3Cs Coyotes!
